Current Allanblackia practices meet the international UEBT sustainability standard in place to ensure social and environmental sustainability for wild harvesting and small-holder production. These standards are the foundation for developing best practices to cover larger-scale production.

Smallholder farmers, tree nurseries, and researchers are working hard to find ways to overcome the challenges of sustainable domestication and realize more production of Allanblackia. The partnership has helped to educate local farmers, gatherers, and oil producers about the standard, how to uphold it, and how it benefits them to do so. The partnership also trained a number of local auditors in how to verify local procedures meet the requirement of the sustainability standard.
