Allanblackia is an opportunity to contribute to the long-term development and alleviation of poverty in poor rural communities where it grows. Its oil has the potential to become a valuable commodity which can provide a new and sustainable source of additional income for local communities. If these communities can scale up its production in a sustainable way, the benefits to local residents and the environment can also increase.

The Allanblackia partnership aims to give local residents the opportunity to increase the value of the product as much as possible locally before it is exported. In addition to farming and seed collecting, local enterprises can be active in transporting seeds and/or oil, extracting oil from seeds and refining the oil.

The true beauty of Allanblackia is in its potential to use a local African tree to benefit African people and African landscapes. But its potential does not stop there.
